Job description
Your Mission and Benefits
You are the right-hand person to our restaurant manager: You work closely with the restaurant manager, support them in day-to-day operations, and take the pressure off them during their daily routine. When the restaurant manager is not on site, you take the lead and serve as the point of contact for the team and guests.
You step up when it counts: During your shift, you keep an eye on the dining room, bar, and kitchen. You coordinate workflows, respond to challenges, and ensure that operations run smoothly.
You lead the team throughout your shift: You coordinate, assign tasks, and ensure that everyone knows what to do. In doing so, you work according to the standards jointly defined by the restaurant management and implement them in daily operations.
You are a host and the face of IZA: For our guests, you are a key point of contact on-site. You make sure they feel welcome, answer questions, and ensure that our guest experience is perfect from the moment they walk in until they pay.
You keep an eye on the dining room: Seating, occupancy, and table turnover are part of your responsibilities during your shift. Especially during peak hours, you maintain a clear overview and ensure that speed and hospitality go hand in hand.
Together with restaurant management, you uphold our standards: quality, cleanliness, speed, and hospitality—you support restaurant management in embedding our standards within the team, monitor compliance in day-to-day operations, and provide feedback based on operational insights.
You serve as the link between the team and restaurant management: You listen to your team, identify problems early on, and relay important information to restaurant management. At the same time, you help the team implement restaurant management’s decisions and guidelines.
Becoming a restaurant manager is your next step: With us, you’ll have the opportunity to gain real leadership experience and take on more responsibility step by step. Our goal is to develop strong assistant restaurant managers who are eventually ready to lead an IZA location on their own.
Your hard work should pay off: We offer performance-based compensation based on your experience, qualifications, and the level of responsibility you take on at IZA.
And because the restaurant industry is demanding, your time off should be meaningful: We typically close for the holidays between Christmas and shortly after New Year’s—and you’ll also get the day off on your birthday.
